Welcome to medical tyranny. Doctors have the right to issue edicts that have the force of law with penalties.
Is that even legal? There's nothing in the bylaws or agreements that mentions such a thing. I don't see a section that defines any medical emergency protocols/procedures besides a small blurb that outlines 911 emergency services and such
It would be covered under some good governance clause. We all have to follow the law and abide by the relevant rules of established authority.
The condo board can be independent, that just takes lots of moral courage. The condo board can also be nit picking commies that drive everyone nuts with their pushy hall monitor expectation of authority.
Fighting your condo board sucks. If you take them to court, you are paying your part of their legal fees.
The better way to deal with your condo board is to get the assholes voted off the board.

The board members are entrenched, absolute old-timers who will likely never get voted off unless they do something extreme like Killary with her Haitian relief funds. Fortunately enough, I may be moving by early next year.

It's politics. But on the real local level. Spend some time watching the survivor series to see what got people voted off the island and how they would manipulate each other.
Then realize the old timers have created lots of resentment in the HOA so, can be displaced. Assuming they hold fair elections that is.
Yeaaaah, I don't really see anyone stepping up tbh. It's a thankless job here, nobody wants it for the measly compensation they give.
It's even worse because some guy with a PhD embezzled around $200K over the course of 4-5 years and was kicked off the board (and evicted).
Now, the Council of Dicks have to meet for every little decision... (like recently a purchase of holiday flowers and decor had to authorized by a majority...)
It really wasn't a problem since they couldn't really powertrip until now...

But HOAs and COAs and the like are notorious for being a bunch of Nahtzees... and they usually get their way because you sign that agreement when first occupying that residence

Read every contract you signed buying the condo or for homeowners' association fees. If nothing in there gives them grounds to mandate attire in common areas, threaten to sue them if they try to enforce it on you.

The way I look at it is this. If you in someone else's house, or on are on someone else's property, you should go by whatever rules they have set up. If you don't like the rules, don't go to their house. That being said, it will be a cold day in hell when I wear a mask in my own damn house!
Well that's the conundrum in the condominium. My condo is mine, no masks allowed. However, the shared spaces are technically all of ours meaning neither solely mine or theirs. Idk... too complicated
Probably not. But you'll be shamed by the religious cult that believes it's scientific and even if it isn't that you just do it anyway for symbolism's sake.
