I think you're misinterpreting his quote there. He was just advocating for individual responsibility and having a stake in America's success instead of viewing our government as a vessel for handouts and ensured safety... Im sure a lot of people were inspired by that quote to make personal sacrifices for the greater good of this nation

Lol that's where I learned about McCarthy's actual legacy. He wasn't a liar or loon. He was a hero that got railed by the MSM and pedowood.
As we know pedowood and most of the MSM is owned by Jews. Most of the communists of the time, the leaders and intellectuals were Jewish. So criticizing 'the Communists' is fine but rightly MOST Jews who are NOT and never wanted to be communists--especially in get-rich-quick America--got a little touchy about the term. They sensed McCarthy and right wingers were really talking about them in code. Instead of "Jews" they'd say "Communists". It didn't matter that certain Jewish intellectuals and individuals were communists. The term would smear ALL Jews...which is exactly what Hitler did. Instead of rounding up the Communist leaders he rounded up ALL Jews--the majority being loyal and hard working Germans, even ex soldiers (for Germany) in the First World War.
So soon after the Second World War--and only 15 years when ALL German Jews were discriminated against, robbed then killed by the State--the idea of a purge...even against "the Communists" set off alarm bells. So naturally they used their brains and money to shut it all down--even to this day imo.
