My maternal ancestors arrived in the colonies before the Republic existed. 1733 to be exact. Women in our family are Daughters of The Republic. A member of this lineage has fought in almost every war this country has ever waged. My father was a career officer in the USAF that fought the commies in Korea, Vietnam and throughout The Cold War. He was a military school graduate and one of the most based, freedom loving, commie-hating sunovabiches that has ever lived. My Uncle was a Commander in the Navy. Several family members are active duty. You don't need to worry about my love of the Republic. Part of preserving this Republic is exhausting every avenue provided in the U.S. Constitution and expanded on in the Federalist Papers. My old man never missed an opportunity to call out and tell off a liberal or commie in his life. Even when it cost him and his family dearly. He never once raised a firearm to an American citizen.
Agreed,we are in different times, waging the same battle with the same enemy. Agreed the landscape is different, the enemy is literally inside the building, and the culture war is nearly lost. The fact remains that there is still an avenue to pursue before inviting civil disarray.
