These days I’m able to remote work from home and avoid my coworkers if I want to. It’s cushy and I’m extremely grateful for it, considering that I remember when technology was less advanced.
Even our homeless people have access to things that kings would kill for.
Yet many people are nothing but angry, depressed, addicted. Yes, our materialistic lives have made everything easy and accessible, but what does it matter when everyone has forgotten our Western values and what made our civilizations so great to begin with. People have forgotten their culture, their ancestry, and the word of God.
Theres a scene in Futurama where they go to Amys hometown on Mars, and she says something about the Western hemisphere being the better of the two and the professor goes "Ah, same as on Earth" lol.
Individualism loses to collectivism of most kinds in all cases of conflict. The USA best the Soviet Union because they had competing versions of collectivism. A Marxist collectivism vs a Natalist religious collectivism (with higher birth rates). “Baby boomers” likely came from that collectivist religious identity.
