People with the flu are given the exact same advice as above though.

If they follow it or not is another thing.

For most people, it's a mild flu, if you have other conditions, it makes it worse. Been there. Lived through it with the same medical advice your wife received.

I'm still in utter disbelief that we've spent months and millions of "preventing the spread", but we haven't done an ounce of actually trying to fight the virus before hospitalization.

No wonder we need the hospital. There's no in-between. She's never had to hospitalized for the flu or sinus infections to get medicinal help.

Fuck all this. States are locked down for this? Its so fucking inconsistent.

The red pill seems to be kind of kicking in...

8
ThunderSizzle [S] 8 points ago +8 / -0

Oh, I've been redpilled already. But nothing like actually going through it to see how shitty the system is, and confirm that everything I've learned is fucking spot on.

We should all be pissed as hell at what they are doing to our children, with all the mask horse shit.

holytrpbatman 5 points ago +5 / -0

That's because it is not a viral pandemic, it is part of a planned effort for a global takeover, with the USA as the grand prize.

If you can, Pede, please persuade your wife to drink a can of tonic water a day and take a Vitamin D. It'll help her recover faster, and the taste of tonic water is motivation to heal. (Make sure there's quinine in the tonic water.)

7
ThunderSizzle [S] 7 points ago +7 / -0

We've been using Vitam C, D, and Zync, along with some Tylenol and whatnot. It's helping her alot, and she feel when its wearing off.

But thats all advice from my MIL. Nothing from thr doc.

Or the Quinine in the Tonic Water.

It's the stuff Hydroxychloroquine was based on.

Yes, sometimes some common sense advice is better than what your doctor is allowed to tell you. Actually, by "sometimes" I mean "most of the time." (And I sympathize a little--I know they can only rec "proven" treatments--but it's less than helpful to the rest of us..)

Seems_legit83 4 points ago +4 / -0

Don’t forget the zinc!

wolfygirl2 3 points ago +3 / -0

Thanks for the tip about tonic water!

3
Build_the_Narwhal 3 points ago +3 / -0

The "tonic water flavor" or whatever it's called that you buy for Sodastream ALSO has quinine, to make that a little cheaper. Plus it will protect you from malaria! Not that that has ever applied to my life, but I suppose since we're all surrounded by swamp we might as well be safe. LOL

It’s the flu dude. There is no cure, and they have been trying for decades.

Why did she go to the hospital?

3
ThunderSizzle [S] 3 points ago +3 / -0

We thought it was a sinus infection, and which is a bacterial infection, and antibiotics help with.

We were hoping to get a prescription if that was the case. The only covid symptom she has (as opposed to flu or sinus infection) is lack of taste

4
jamesgallden 4 points ago +4 / -0

Brother in law just got it...had the lack of taste a couple of days after. He was weak and lacked energy for about a week. Then he was done. Best wishes.

You've already got the best advice and treatment plan. Use it, and if it worsens go as far as you need to in the Medical systems around you - as you need more help, more help will be there. Call your physician since this guy on the Internet is just a dog who learned to type.

Honestly, just get tested again now. Its prob a false positive. Its cold season.

6
ThunderSizzle [S] 6 points ago +6 / -0

Oh, that's the best part.

Tested for strep, corona, and flu. All negative. Diagnosed with COVID. She definitely has something, and it threw her on her ass.

They could've saved us some money and say they'll diagnose us with the the WuFlu regardless if its negative.

6
SentryS 6 points ago +6 / -0

Remind yourself to turn off the TV.

You have a cold. Get well soon.

6
NCDad 6 points ago +6 / -0

This is when the 99% recovery rate kicks in. She is gonna have mild to severe flu like symptoms and then it’ll go away. It’s why normies were pissed at the president for being treated right away because most people are just sent home. For some reason people don’t think GEOTUS shouldn’t have better care?

Basically unless she’s having breathing problems just treat her how you would with flu and let her rest. The regeneron and heavy meds come later but statistically won’t be needed.

You both hang in there!

get some Quercetin and Zinc. You can get these at Puritains pride vitamins. Online. it has amazing effects on Covid. Rush Delivery.

Cali_kid 4 points ago +4 / -0

I know 10 people that had it here in LA. All of them are fine even a 65 year old man.

3
wake_up33 3 points ago +3 / -0

You can also give her these OTC supplements to help: Quercetin, Zinc, Vit D3, and Vit C. I am a teacher and also have asthma and lung scarring from previously having H1N1. I take this combination everyday. You can buy them separately (cheaper) or altogether in a supplement like this: Immune supplement

jackdaniels 2 points ago +2 / -0

Grab a cheap oximeter and check her oxygen, as long as thats over 95 and she not spiking fevers, she will be just fine in no time. I know plenty of folks, even older ones who got over just like that.

2
AlphaKilo 2 points ago +2 / -0

Sorry your wife got the flu.

2
TeslaTimeMachine 2 points ago +2 / -0 (edited)

Get her some Tonic Water, with Quinine, drink a cup a day. You too, it will prevent you from catching it. Buy it at any grocery store.

Quinine is what Hydroxochloroquine is based on.

Add a zinc supplement, vit D & C supplements and get some sunlight if possible.

2
MAGALogic 2 points ago +2 / -0

This is like any other cold for most people. I remember going to a walk in clinic.

The doctor looked at me and said...sure I could give you medicine. But I just advise lots of vitamin C, fluids and rest.

If you have been working throughout corona and know a hospital worker they all will say the same thing.

2
ThunderSizzle [S] 2 points ago +2 / -0

It just baffles me that we've fully locked down for something that can treated with water, rest, and some vitamins.

Half of my NY family thinks this is the plague. And its hard to think it's not bad when everything is tainted with covid alerts.

Mooma 2 points ago +2 / -0

Monitor o2 stat, if it hits 94, find a dr that will prescribe steroids

FreeSpeechMaster 2 points ago +2 / -0

My wife had it the other day....2 days, boom. Good as new. "In her words, "It's like I was never sick". She had a headache and was achy and tired. I came down with it yesterday. Just achy for me. No biggie.
