So look fat, here's the deal. I have an AR-15 that's in an A2 style, with the fully integrated carry handle upper, and I don't want to put a rail and optic on top of it because it not only looks stupid but it also compromises it's shoot ability.
So I ordered this assembled upper receiver: https://www.opticsplanet.com/aero-precision-m4e1-threaded-assembled-upper-receiver.html
Now I've never swapped an upper or any components, so I'd like to know what I should expect to need for the job. Can I just swap this upper in place of the one on now, and then keep my Magpull MOE M-LOK handguard and barrel? Is there anything specific I need to do in order to do that, any tools I need, do you have a guide maybe?
I'd really appreciate any input y'all can guide me with.
For that job you need to own and use an AR15 armorers wrench. You will remove your hand guards and barrel and attach them to the new receiver. Go to bitchute ot YouTube if you must and search how to build an ar15 upper.
Watch several and then good luck
I bought that armorer's wrench as well as a punch kit, a torque wrench, and I'll also need some Loctite too probably. Should those be enough?
You will def want a vice😂. You should be good to go. If you are going to build more stuff get red and blue locktite. Building gets addictive

Would this work?
Yes. I just use a bench vice with rubber grips on the vice teeth.
Watch some videos and you will get a feel for how people do it. It is pretty intuitive but there are a few tricks to make the job easier
