If you’re arguing the KJV is the most accurate translation, therefore it needs to be used, you’re wrong. You’re trusting the people who translated the original texts to KJV. The most accurate texts are the original texts and we, the people of 2020, have little to no way of truly knowing the original words of the original gospels because there have been bad actors in the church since the beginning, trying to muddy the translations
We go by faith that KJV was translated correctly. Only by faith. To say it is the most “accurate” and also “most accurate to the original texts” compared to the modern version, is simply untrue.
It is not a matter of faith. The KJV is a literal translation. That is why it can be so unwieldly because it insists on sticking as close to the original texts as possible. More modern translations are geared toward readability for modern ears, often departing from literal translation.
Translation is tricky stuff. The KJV can turn a lot of people off, but so does Shakespeare.
Dude that’s so wrong lmao. I can’t argue w fundamentalists tho, have a good day. I need to go to church
You do you, mate. I’d say you’re the one who is ‘so wrong.’ Have a blessed church service.
