except for reliability, and the lack of being able to utilize a folding stock . 1moa difference doesnt make much sense unless ur talking sniper rifles lol.
The AR is more reliable than the mini. And I never saw much use for a folding stock. You can't shoot with it folded. But if you just have to have one, there are folding stocks available for ARs.
They are more reliable especially when using factory mags. -- No AR15 can do this, a true, shootable, folding stock. The design of the AR makes it impossible. Collapsable yes, but not folding. VERY convenient :))) but i love ar's too . they are more accurate. enter text
I'm not trying to knock the mini 14, I've owned one for 25 years and I love it. But saying it's more reliable than the AR15 is simply not true. The action on the mini is a much more open design, leaving lots of room for grit and dirt to get in and cause a malfunction. There are good mags and bad mags for both the AR and the mini. Finding dead reliable, bet your life quality mags for the AR is not a problem. As for the folding stock, like I said I don't see much use in them. I can't think of a problem that a folding stock would solve. A collapsible stock is actually useful.
The mini 14 has a special place in my heart, but the AR is superior in every way.
