I’ve thought of Trump a more of a Sulla character. If he truly succeeds in draining the swamp and restore the republic it delays the civil war for 30 or 40 years. But in the act may lay the key for a future Caesar to take power.
The only way Trump is a Caesar is if he has been conspiring with big tech, and the deep state, behind the scenes, this whole time, which I don’t really see.
Analogies with ancient Rome are trite anyways, as the fall of the ancient republic served as an object lesson that our founding fathers consciously sought to avoid, and therefore constructed the constitution accordingly. We’ll see
