Depending on the location, they're in a tough spot. I'm in a blue city and if gyms don't comply then they get shut down. The only defense against this would be some city-wide small business non-compliance effort, which doesn't really seem to be happening anywhere. I dunno if they're scared, haven't tried, or, the worst one, small businesses owners are brainwashed themselves and actively committing suicide. KARENs are the gyms worst enemy... My gym owner told me it's OK to not wear the mask if no one is around but to please do so if there are people because they will and have called and complained...
I can’t understand how there hasn’t been an emergent yet mass disobedience campaign. If literally a single gym told the government to go pound sand, there would be initiated a chain reaction of disobedience. But it seems rare for even one business to give the state the finger. The conditioning has been so stupefying and effective.

that gym in New Jersey tried like half a dozen times so they sabotaged their sewer system and condemned the building I believe
