The sad thing about the Disney Star Wars is that they actually made a movie with a strong female protagonist who isn't an insufferable Mary Sue, a strong male protagonist who isn't a cuck, the android companion isn't some SJW pansexual whatever AND displays a relationship between two of the other male companions that it is beyond the shallow and solipsistic understanding that the alphabet activists have because it's true love, the one you give your life for.
And to top it all, it brought back what made the original Star Wars great one last time.
My daughter and I watched Rogue One and both agree it was pretty solid.
I had her watch 4,5,and 6 for the first time ever before she watched any of the newer stuff, Harmy's Despecialized version of course (Han shot first). I do own the full Star Wars set on DVD, but don't like the new age edits.
My daughter thought 1,2, and 3 were ok. At first the shought Jar Jar was 'really neat', after about 15 minutes she said he could go bye bye now please. ;)
We both thought 7 had potential, but there were a lot of gotcha's. Star Wars 8 was an utter train wreck, and 9 was just unspeakably bad.
I keep hearing Mandalorian is good, but I'm attempting to recoup from 8 and 9. Hollywood has assured that my darkside is out in full force. ;)
Star Trek, and Star Wars are dead to me. The fan films are better than the new Hollywood drivel.
I can't fucking believe they managed to kill Star Wars. I just can't fucking believe it.
Mandalorian is pretty entertaining.
maybe from a seed a tree can grow again.
Speaking of, ashoka is being brought out now, IMO i consider her to be a great female roll who was really well developed over time
You know this version of Woke Hollywood will obliterate Ashoka's character. Think what they did to Luke, and know she is next.
huh. never even thought of that.
exactly how organized are these people?
