Idk about their politics and know theyre in the bay area, but I have yet to see them make a statement in either direction.
Happy Mug is pretty good, too. They're cheaper than Sweet Maria's but the beans are still good. Sweet Maria's has them beat by a mile in information. Every coffee I buy from SM has a detailed description about origin, cupping notes, preferred brewing method, etc. Happy Mug just has basic info but they're usually $1-2 cheaper per pound.
