Alito, Thomas, Barret, and Gorsuch are safe constitutionalists. So long as the legal team hasn't been blowing hot air and can back up the claims they've made (which Powell gives me 100% certainty on), they will do what's right. The only way they let us down is if the legal team somehow lets us down.
Kavanaugh seems like he can be flaky, but I have confidence that he'd fall in line with the others in this case. He's at least got integrity, and hopefully there's something deep down inside him that will take any opportunity to throw a middle finger to Harris (so long as there's an open and shut case).
I'm confident that Powell has the goods. Since Powell has the goods, I'm confident in a 5-4 decision at the absolute worst. Ideally, if the evidence is even more famning than we could have hoped, we'd manage to pull Roberts or even some others based on the blatant violations of the Constitution. Maybe its a pipe dream, but if we can have an overwhelming consensus from SCOTUS, that might mitigate the blow back we'll almost certainly see from the left.
5-4 would give ammo to the idea that "Trump stuffed the court," but a 6-3 or, dare I say.. 7-2.. That would be a death blow to the left as a whole.
