That's a lot of joules. Was out west, brought a sidearm for day hikes. Went with a local friend when he went to buy a new pistol, and was a little embarrassed when the guy at the store said "You're carrying a 9mm? You better hope for an eye shot because that'll just piss the bear off." That was a moment of education for me.
