This made me remember - when I was younger, I fucked around with my friends a couple times with this trick. If we stopped to put air in the tires, I'd offer to hold the valve cap. Stick a tiny pebble into it and hand it back. Watch the confusion as they think there's a valve stem leak every time they tried screwing the cap back on.
