I just went to Sunday Mass at the church I attended as a child, from late 90s to March 2020 this church was VIBING. Good times, laughs, and energy.

Now it's 25 people MAX, masked up, and next to zero contact/communication with the people around you.

It honestly was a disappointing mass, although the priest was doing his best - this just isn't how people worship.

I stayed after and told the organizer and the priest this and told them if things didn't change soon I wouldn't be surprised if grassroots worship took precedence over brick and mortar. They invited me to speak at some gatherings about this. They know what's happening - but their "archbishop" is providing MEDICAL guidance from Governors straight into the churches. Plus some constituents are genuinely afraid... we all need to start dialoguing with people. If we don't' have the balls to take action inside of our own fucking churches, we might as well help the commie invaders with their luggage too.

CALLING ALL PEDES. If you want to see change, be change. If I can't get this church to open its doors and demask over the next couple of months I will find a new church. If this keeps happening, I will keep trying.

I grew away from Catholicism in my teens when I started reading into their track record on tithing/pedophilia/golden thrones. However, I felt inclined to visit the church I was baptized in, regardless of the sins of the larger organization.

I grew away from organized religion pretty harshly in my teens because of the sins of the Catholic church, but ya maybe a new church would be good.
