Looking for a patriot who is looking for a way to help the data analysis team with an important, but simple task. All you need is some spare time and the ability to copy/paste some URLS from a web page into a text file.

ANYONE can do this, and IT WILL HELP US BIGLY!!!

See the post below for some proof that I am serious.

Send me a PM if interested. Will take only 30 mins-1 hour !

How do I PM on here, didn't even know there was that feature. I got about 3 years of data analysis experience, I'm in Canada so I don't think it's legal to work on any info that has personal information, but I can help with that task.

It's VERY easy, just repetitive. No personal information. Ill send you a PM

Respectfully, if it's that easy and quick, why don't you do it yourself?

I am a programmer, my job is coding scripts that scrape data from URLs. I am not "above" any task but this is not a good use of my time. It is simple copy/pasting, anyone can do it.

I am a programmer too, and I'm all for efficiency.

It seems like you've spent more than an hour trying to recruit help.

Now, if this is a recurring task, then it would make sense.

Cheers, and I hope that you produce some good data.

It took about 3 minutes to make two posts. Why are you being negative lol. I'm multi-tasking like a sonofabitch and nobody has compiled the list yet

That file is no good. has the same timestamp in all of the json calls and it is 11/03. There are no records until after midnight, at least in the votes file I downloaded from this site, with the name FQuxxTvK.csv.

Waiting for response. BTW, retired Software Engineer.

They are ordered by timestamp. You need to look at the end of the URL. They ALL say 11/03 for some reason but it contains all available data, from all days. Consecutive entries have the same time stamp.

Then the next dump is in the next block, new time stamp.

This was run with the old script that includes the full URL anyway, and we know that some data are missing. It's been modified to only have timestamp now. Thus, this is being used for comparison purposes only

is there a map of the API and what they will let us have? Is there an API key?

AFAIK They do not allow third party access to their file hierarchy, the only links we do have are a combination of the wayback machine and pedes looping through URLs and logging anything that doesn't 404
