Technically you are right. Our castle law extends from our homes to our vehicles so we can travel with firearms but handguns require a permit to carry open or concealed. I do not believe there is a law against non felons open carrying rifles or shotguns except for in prohibited places.
Tourists are fucked. Oklahoma respected other states that had constitutional carry. So you could be a tourist and carry but an Okie needed a permit. But then they went full constitutional carry.
I couldn't agree more. Fuck their unconstitutional laws. If I go traveling, my strap stays with me. Nowadays, I am making a concerted effort to avoid Blue States and Commie infested cities to avoid being strung up by some corrupt DA if I ever get caught up in some shit and have to handle business.
Back in the 80’s I lived in Houston and always enjoyed the sight of trucks with gun racks parked in my high school (teachers and students) parking lot. Downtown there were businessmen in three piece suits with six shooters on. Both made me feel safer.
