I was on the fence between legit gripe and false flag smear until I started seeing dozens of new accounts here to sell me even MORE conservative coffee.

Is this just my conspiracy theorist brain in overdrive?

I haven't seen them throwing him under the bus, just stating the fact that they did not "endorse" him. That's not the same thing as support. It's a specific term that would have negative connotations for Kyle if they did.

How they've handled the backlash since, is it's own issue. I don't have a dog in the fight. I'm just highly suspicious of the new accounts trying to sell me "conservative" coffee while running down the previous company to try and sell me conservative cofee.

I don't drink their coffee or care that much about them either way but I see why people are calling them out. They panicked as a company and released an ill advised PR statement when they should have just stayed quiet.

I do understand your skepticism of people trying to shill new coffee though, that does look suspicious. TBH it's such a strange way to buy your coffee. I'd rather it be an apolitical decision. Unless the company truly fucks up with some woke BS, the only thing I care about is flavor and price.

Totally with you there. I long for the days when I didn't have to know the political leanings of a business' owners. I'm looking for caffeine, not a lifestyle choice or membership in some exclusive club.

Why are you suspicious of capitalism working like it is supposed to work? BRCC smeared themselves. Other coffee companies are simply advertising the exact same way BRCC did to gain conservative customers.

They're not paying for advertisement on TD.Win, there's people starting up brand new accounts to spread low-effort memes advertising them. Maybe the owners themselves.

I'm not anti-capitalism. I'm anti-manipulative stealth advertising on a platform that explicitly disallows self-promotion. Especially if they're doing it off the back of manufactured controversy that they're underhandedly promoting.

If they want a banner with their logo on this site, they ought to pay the guys who own TD.Win for it. Otherwise, I'm about to start clicking "deport" on this stuff.
