In the US, after accidents, childhood cancer is the leading cause of death. The NIH only gives 4% of research dollars to fight it. The same chemo drugs invented in the 1960s are being used and have horrible effects. Very few drug advancements compared to adult cancers. Childhood cancer rates have been soaring in the last couple of decades. Loss of life for a child is 70 plus years.

Whoa that's really sad.... From that I calculate 7.78 million children under 5 dying every year. Staggering number.
