And it's usually been clarified by the time you got here too. This is the fastest moving place on the internet, you're never going to be the first to post anything.
True, but, given the size and churn on TDW, good stuff runs off page pretty fast. So if you don't see something when you are looking for it there is a tendency to post it anyway for the benefit of new entrants who wouldn't go far down pages.
Essentially, most people probably keep looking at new stuff mostly.
I came from VOAT a couple of weeks back.
There, it is a much wider number of channels and many fewer users, so /QRV doesn't page things off near as fast.
Also, on TDW, when you open and deal with a post for a comment or such, when you back out into the channel there can be half a page of new posts, driving the other stuff under the fold, so to speak. VOAT only updates when you ask it to. For me that makes a smoother operation.
Do not get me wrong, I adore TDW and appreciate it's finer points: on being that it is much more resistant to Attack.
Yes, please!!!!!!!!
If no one is ever the first to post anything on a topic, then how does something get posted?
WOAH....thats almost like a Quantum-level mandelbrot type of thing!
If you read and scroll for, 20 seconds and don't find it, you may be the first, but take the time to do that for the rest of us.
yeah, i’ve seen 20 posts saying what you’re saying too, if you want to talk about clutter
plank in your eye?
New people should be forced to click on some kind of message that says this, search before posting, I've seen it in forums elsewhere.
And yes I know I'm new people. But I only made one new post and it was something I did not see 38 times before.
I will say, this place runs at a blistering place. We know the news before it happens lol.
I tried to be first once. I was four minutes late.
Do a search for the headline.
Find the post.
