I still wouldn't leave my doors unlocked here.. people out here act like it's the wild west.
Never get comfortable.. I wouldn't sleep anywhere with my door unlocked, just habit.
Even considered security bedroom door since we are heavy sleepers.
It's hard to even say that. Drugs have taken over much of Appalachia and you can't trust a heroin/meth addict for nothing.
Not to mention people are more mobile. Crims will often drive out and hit an area while everyone's at work. It's definitely a bit safer but locking doors is a no brainer.
I look at it like this, I can't help anyone else if I'm hanging by a thread myself.
