Trump won because Americans got tired of being strung along by the same establishment for 20 years getting us into constant wars and putting us in a state of constant surveillance. Obama was a terrible choice. The only promise he delivered on was to radically and fundamentally change the us. Think of all the children your families have sent off to college as well prepared right leaning people, just to have them return within the first semester pumped full of propaganda. A lot of us saw it and chose not to not to uni because of it.Trump's message of opportunity for those who take it really resonated.
