I'm from a deep blue area but been traveling in the south and Midwest and I have to say, a lot of these areas are pretty cucked too at least with the mask wearing. I was refused service more than once in areas in red states and I even checked the electoral map and they were red voting areas. It seems only the really small towns hadn't gone ape shit crazy over the covid stuff. I've been around Texas and that place has a lot of the same issues as California but the rural areas are much better than any areas of California in terms of people, the cities there are mostly shit shows though. It's not as simple as just moving to a red state you have to still look to see what areas really fit your values. I didn't feel much comraderie with anyone in deep red states except for the rural areas and small towns where I felt right at home.
