Biggest problem with keto is that if you don't stay keto you fuck up your body even worse than where you started, and in a SHTF scenario meat and other protein is going to be a lot more scarce, so I can't imagine it's overall the best choice. Unless there's something I'm missing.
OMAD = One Meal A Day Get off the sugar and junk food and many of your cravings will disappear.

Like many things, don't listen to the media shills. Research for yourself. I suggest Gary Taubes. He is a researcher and his books are readable. Why we get fat is one of his older books, the first of his I read. He has several newer books but not having read them I won't give a recommendation.
OMAD stands for "one meal a day". If you're too stupid to count calories (as most people are), then eating one meal a day can make it difficult to eat in a surplus. It's a fool-proof way for fools to lose weight, because eating once is easier to understand than "eat less". Also, if you force yourself to go hungry most hours of the day, you will eventually become better at ignoring hunger.
If you're not overweight, obese, and are fine with counting calories, there isn't really any point to it. Keto diets are also mostly bunk. Just get enough protein and calories throughout your day to meet your goals and move more.
OMAD? I'm assuming KETO=ketosis.
