If you don’t realize that you just watched legal theater in the “firing” of Sydney Powell then you don’t pay attention to the games of cover your ass and then cover it some more. She no doubt has signed affidavits from other individuals and based on those she can sling any arrow that is in that affidavit quiver and avoid too much scrutiny, but if she is attached to the administration she puts a larger target on herself, the rest of the legal team and the administration itself. The secondary benefit is she can make these claims and the administration doesn’t have to answer for them.
