I just got mine back from repairs. I wanted to put a folding brace on it, so I was trying to take the buffer tube adapter off but they used loctite red on the screws. They had to drill the screws out. Now that she has a folding brace, she's a mean little bitch.
Honestly, full automatic fire in a non belt-fed weapon is unnecessary and impractical in nearly all situations. The only reason I want one is because the government says I can't have one.
The magazines are very expensive. The only logical thing to do is buy a few more varieties (full size, reverse stretch, K, K-PDW, K-PDW-SBR) in order to balance out the cost.
That’s why I went with the 4! I have a buddy who has the 3 and he likes that it’s a little smaller and the QD mount is towards the back of the brace where the SB 4 has the QD mount at the front of the brace. Both are good though, but the 4 is more rigid and sturdy
The Scorpion is a nice gun, but the MP5 is smooth to shoot and damn easy to control, even under full auto.
It is worth noting that the Scorpion and Sig MPX both have the benefit of being developed in an era where attachments such as lights, optics, IR lasers, and so forth are common. The MP5 predates the common usage of weapon lights, red dot optics, and lasers. As such, it is somewhat less easy to customize to meet modern needs.
The lack of LRBHO is another significant drawback, but the .40 and 10mm variants resolved that shortcoming.
Like it a lot actually, the multiple reticles are pretty cool even though I only use the dot. Shake awake, long battery life, and price were the deciding factors.
Followed marine gun builders advice, never had a failure with this build. First time quality is a real thing, and also a phrase I don't want to hear again from MGB's videos.
