The red in the image shows differences (in this case a massive deletion) where one document has something another one does. Blue areas are when text is different between the two documents, whereas white areas are the same text in both documents.
Haven't done much of an analysis, but this has been an incredibly useful tool at work, and has been worth the cost of the license fee and can be cracked easily if you'd rather sail the seven seas. Page: https://scootersoftware.com/
