I went on a “first date” in high school and was supposed to see one of the Lord of the Rings. It was completely full, we were already there and nervous, so we decided to go watch “Passion of the Christ”, because we were both good people and trying to make a good impression, right?!
I’ll never forget holding the door on the wait out (after the movie was over) for hundreds of people. Tears weld up and so guilty about my life, I couldn’t let go of the door handle lol.
We both cried during the movie and to this day still see each other in our small town and belly laugh about our first date from hell....from heaven I meant.
If you felt guilty, then you didn't understand what the movie was about. The movie was about Jesus dying for all your sins forever - the free gift of Grace. It requires nothing from you, isn't based on your actions. It was done to remove guilt, get you out from under the curse of the Law.
On the “way out”. It was a typo and not hard to figure it out.
I was 16 years old and juiced up on nervousness, testosterone, and probably copious amount of caffeine and my dates perfume. My mind was already overloaded. I understand what the money is about now in my 30’s. But watching that movie in your teens is not easy to process.
Seriously, though, I don't know the version, BUT I do know a couple REALLY good versions. In one, Jesus is played by the actor who played Desmond in Lost, with some jovial results! "The Visual Bible - Gospel of John" It includes an outstanding table-flipping sequence! One can steal it online like a presidential election, if one is inquisitive. xD
Completely random sidebar.

Letting go of a lesson because people are different, some don't understand, is foolish.
He mentioned seeing a Christian movie - a movie about Jesus. I explained the meaning/importance of Jesus.
Grace is a free gift, Anyone can have it. It's not based on people's actions or achievements. Feeling guilty is falling into Satan's clutches.
Why don't you like that?
Two of those tables are made of plywood. Did they have plywood back when Jesus lived?
