At least they plan to give them treatment facilities. Obviously throwing everyone in jail for struggling with addiction doesn’t work.

Um, making it legal doesnt help. Will make it worse. Addicts dont seek treatment willingly. I am an alcoholic. I know.

So by your theory you should be in jail right now for your alcoholism.

No, that is not what i said. What i said, was making illicit substances legal will not help addicts fight their addictions. It will make the problems worse. I, as an alcaholic made bad choices, no criminal activity, at least as far as this mortal life is concerned, and the alcohol made those choices easier to make, less inhibition. Don't put words in my mouth. If a person were suicidal and i gave them a telephone and a loaded gun, which would be easier for them to do? Call someone and open themselves up to a stranger, or pull a trigger. Making the option legal doesn't help the suicidal.
