It probably is the MAGA crowd. There was a study that found lefties are more scared of coronavirus than right wing. Since they’re protesting a COVID restriction, it’s safe to say MAGA.
There were a lot of car rallies in CA leading up to election as well.
There's so much overlap in the Venn, it might be impossible to tease apart. Also, those who are protesting lockdowns but who are not MAGA are potential/eventual allies. Those relationships need to be cultivated.
