Wishful thinking tinted with conjecture. I hope you are correct.

That is all. Have a nice day

Why would the President Issue his EO regarding declaring a National Emergency for foreign interference in our elections and 55 days later an Act Designed to limit the Military in Civilian Matters is updated. Why does someone issue an EO and update existing law?

You are on the right track here. No matter how much people make fun of "the plan" it will happen. I have no doubts all these EOs just happened randomly

I'm convinced this is part of a greater sting of foreign AND domestic enemies.

Ms. Powell’s actions are presently, in her words, a civil action. This is at this point not a criminal case . . . Yet.

Much of this legal jargon is above us for it is not our profession. Additionally, legalese changes state to state, jurisdiction to jurisdiction. Military procedures are also different.

The justice system moves slowly which is obvious to millions who are waiting patiently to see all the evidence come “kraken”. It’s not like a flip of a switch this becomes a criminal case.

However, when the appropriate people deem it criminal handcuffs & perp walks can happen. But, as known, this isn’t a Law & Order episode where everything is buttoned up quickly. When perp walks happen it will be 2 to 3 years before sentencing.

Clear up the republic one criminal at a time.

Understandable, and I'm no lawyer either. This is all civil now, until it is deemed insurrection, treason or whatever legal term that applies. Trump's EO and the National Emergency it proclaims outlines all that will happen from that moment on.

This is a good point and confirms why we have not heard from FBI or DOJ as the DOD is now in charge and has a legal right to work in the civilian law jurisdictions.

Well, Barr is compromised with conflict of interest issues. His tenure at Kirkland and Ellis, the lawyers for Dominion Voting Systems and Staple Street Capital, keep him sidelined here.

Unless, of course, he was a mole and is cooperating.

Well I spent a decade working in Pittsburgh where Jagoff is a perfectly correct term of endearment.

Nope. You’re spot on.

I started to believe this when I heard her say that the military got the servers. Only an insider would know information like that.

3
DickTick 3 points ago +3 / -0

Uhh.... Not when guys in US military outfits show up at the location in Germany and regular citizens see it.....

You don't exactly need insider information for that and that is the very first place we heard anything about a server being captured was on a random news website and they are the ones that claimed it was people in US military uniforms....

It's a high possibility that the servers might have been in an American consulate being used exclusively by American intelligence. In that case, military dressed individuals going in and out of an american building would look relatively normal.

Read Trump's EO from September 12, 2018

Servers were overseas. Posse Comitatus Act is irrelevant. Wishful thinking and conjecture.

BarronVonSaltzburg26 [S] 2 points ago +2 / -0

Trump's EO is not irrelevant in seizing foreign assets

What Does Posse Comitatus Mean and Why Are Americans Afraid Trump Will Suspend it. https://qz.com/1442757/what-does-posse-comitatus-mean-and-trump-could-suspend-it/

Article is 2 years old, speculation tinged with Trump hysteria and a whole lot of ignorance about how our government works. Remember all the pearl-clutching about what Trump was going to do that he never, ever, gave any hint of doing? This is part of it.

Interesting timing just a few weeks after Trump's EO on foreign interference in our elections and a week before the act update was issued

1
AtomicShnoz 1 point ago +2 / -1

The bulletin was updated not the law - prove me wrong - what exactly was updated?

BTW - it has to take an act of congress

BarronVonSaltzburg26 [S] 1 point ago +1 / -0

subject to only limited alterations by Congress or the President
