For instance, I think if you can prove their claim is false with publicly known information available at the time the claim was made, you can win a libel suit. I’m not a lawyer but that’s my recollection from a business law class I took a long time ago.
This is America. You can sue anyone for anything. Of course it doesn't mean you will win, but it says something about the person suing if they go to the trouble to try.
If I was a loyal Trump loving Senator and Bernstein lied about what I said on a public forum, you better believe I would be making damn sure he pays a price for it. These RINOs think Trump is a fad and they can go back to being RINOs any day now, and we will have to vote for them because the Dems are always worse, and the UNIPARTY with it's illusion of choice, can go back to milking as much cash and power out of the American people as they can.

I guarantee none of these will even deny it or make any kind of statement about it. They just hope no one sees it or that memories are short because it's true. Trying to dispute things that are true, when he probably has tapes or something to back it up would just Streisand effect this thing even more.

AND you have to show damages - it's an incredibly high hurdle, and very rarely happens.
