That may be so, but he knows who he talked to for his last book. He made this list public if it's lies then they will deny it and they could sue him too. I bet they don't though.

Actually they can if they can prove it was done knowingly. It’s just a higher standard.

For instance, I think if you can prove their claim is false with publicly known information available at the time the claim was made, you can win a libel suit. I’m not a lawyer but that’s my recollection from a business law class I took a long time ago.

AND you have to show damages - it's an incredibly high hurdle, and very rarely happens.
