No no. We need to make up our minds.

Either there’s absolutely nothing Trump can do to stop governors from locking down their states, which means it will continue, or we can “win” the coronavirus fight by DJT getting term 2.

Pick one.

Can’t have it both ways. Don’t tell me all of a sudden Trump can fix it. Not the same people that told me in spring that there was nothing he could do.

Which, by the way, is ludicrous. The idea, the very insane idea, that there’s absolutely nothing the executive branch can do to stop governors from violating the rights of American citizens is beyond absurd - it was an excuse used by people who could never admit when our team fucks up.

National lockdowns were absolutely unprecedented and never should’ve been allowed to happen, even if it meant gunfire in the streets it should’ve been avoided at all costs. All. Do you understand that? All. All costs. No exaggeration, all. Because now they can do it anytime they want into perpetuity. Don’t you see that? Irreparably and permanently damaged our republic.

Then we finally start to convince many people that CV is barely any more dangerous than a seasonal flu virus and we’ve got the executive branch coming out and saying that 700,000 or 800,000 more people would’ve died if not for early actions by the White House. That’s counterproductive and abysmally stupid. I have no goddamn fucking idea who thought that was a good idea. No, our asses have been thoroughly kicked on Cv19. Thoroughly.

Anyone who doesn’t see it is a hack who refuses to see any possibility that our team could screw up.

We have set the most dangerous precedent we ever could’ve set. That it is perfectly OK for our rights to be stripped from us in an emergency. In a fake emergency I should be more specific. A fake emergency.
