I have no real data on the rise in autism, in terms of causality. I doubt that the rate of increase in autism in the general population can be explained away by modern medical treatments. The trendline should move much more slowly if this were the case.

Unfortunately, there is little incentive for real scientific investigation of much of this. Drug companies prefer treatment to cures and free treatments, like changing diet or lifestyle have essentially no supporting studies.
