I don't like the Holocaust focus by the western world because it is 99% political and either ignores or obscurs that vast majority of atrocities throughout the war and also utterly distorts how extreme the genocidal agenda of the Nazi regime was.
They had dozens of ethnicity on their extermination list.
Most people, first and only thing they learn about why Nazis were bad - 'they killed 6 million Jews'
...They also killed 19+ million civilians in Soviet Union alone. (This does not include 8.6 military casualties Soviets suffered in that war).
There are many other identity groups across Europe that suffered just as heavily if not more than Jews - but you know... remembering extermination of those dirty gypsies or commie eastern europeans is not as politically useful when it comes to making the western populations shut the fuck up when they start to getting uppity about where their tax money is going.
Also how hitler supposedly believed he could get away with killing Jews. He said something like no one remembers the Armenians.
Kinda ironic along with the US, Israel is one of the only other western nations that doesn't recognize Armenian genocide. So as a courtesy in return I do not recognize the "Holocaust" whatever that is.
