A prevailing theory is that when so much irrefutable proof of fraud and other high crimes become public available the powers that be are reportedly going to flip an internet killswitch and kill communications across the nation.

The question is when?

If I were the one orchestrating this performance I would attempt to push the enemy's hand on a major holiday when you would most likely have more eyes on the communication networks. This Wednesday could very well be not just a hump day, but a dump day. A day to drop all the bombshells to light social media up all day long on a holiday. With most places closed and networks running reruns, most Americans will turn to Facebook and Twitter to wish family and friends happy holidays only to be unable to avoid the news or perhaps even not be able to access the site because the only way the technocrats can stymie the flow of information is to cut it completely off. This will give them plenty of time to write censorship algorithms to block the news but in the mean time Americans will only be able to rely on the most trusted name in news. (many sarcasms, much wow) However, with everyone glued to the TVs and their phones the probability of a person receiving the theorized EAS message is maximized.

“Engage people with what they expect; it is what they are able to discern and confirms their projections. It settles them into predictable patterns of response, occupying their minds while you wait for the extraordinary moment — that which they cannot anticipate.” – Sun Tzu

KILLSWITCH WOULD BE VERY DIFFICULT I BELEIVE.

TCP/IP is a self healing protocol to some extent. There is so much redundancy. Some of the redundancy is wireless also. Going after DNS at top level registries may be easier. Would also have to go after NAPS. Would not be like a light switch. Would take a massive effort, not to mention the enormous amount of peering relationships. Its not like the Internet all flows through a single Govt building somewhere. Which, by the way, is the reason the Internet was able to explode the way it did.

Its kind of like imploding a building. Most people think a few charges implode a building. It actually takes a large scale engineering project to design the implosion. Then a mid rise building may take 2-3 years to prep for implosion. There is a ton of disassembly of bearing members or partial cutting of bearing members that occurs prior to any actual use of explosives. In fact, the implosion seeks to minimize the explosive charges to allow the load stresses to be the primary factor in the implosion.

The term internet killswitch is also a bit of a misnomer in my opinion. It isn't a killswitch of the ENTIRE internet writ large, but a deliberate downing of the major social media sites and the DDoS attacks on alternative tech. (DDoS plus an influx of new users COULD affect site functionality) Essentially creating a de facto killswitch. I believe they have been doing dry runs recently. (this site has been targeted so you can bet the others have been too)

Sure but I would image that Facebook is well distributed and hosting with multiple providers/data centers and/or has some of its own.

The bunkers/data centers by some major corporations would really surprise most people. e.g. Wal-mart, Fidelity Investments, et al
