Like it or not, if there is ANY reasonable doubt instilled in people that the DOJ is doing something, might be doing something, or Even doing nothing..... Then they will, by default, never realized that they must take action themselves.
Controlled opposition prevents actual opposition from emerging. Fox news is a great example.
