One of many reasons why I don't eat at "Halal" places. I get flak for it sometimes from a couple of friends of mine, but I don't want my money to go inadvertently go towards building terrorist training facilities (i.e. a lot of Sunni Mosques...).
On the other hand, I won't be shying away from my love of Mexican, and Japanese food. There's a lot of nuance to minority groups, and we should be cognizant of that.
Im the same, Halal is particularly brutal way to butcher an animal. Not really sure what the obsession is with sawing off fucking heads with Muslims but I ain’t down with it. I grew up in farm country and most US farmers/meat processing are doing it correctly.

Same here, I abstain from brutal slaughter methods.
