Spotted from a local restaurant (name withheld for safety from the shills on here). Such humble bravery - it's inspiring. Take heart pedes, hold the line!

"First things first - if you haven't taken your turkey out of the freezer and put it in your fridge - go do it now.

With that said.... Your support and encouragement has been - amazing, mind blowing, and so incredibly humbling.

Seriously, I don't even know how to put enough emphasis on how you are all so utterly incredible. There is no way there will ever be enough ways to show our appreciation for each and every one of you. We thank God for you all.

As you are well aware, there has been a non-stop firestorm of emotions surrounding this decision. I've been receiving a lot of very incredible comments and messages, and, I've also been receiving a fair amount of not so incredible comments and messages.

As crazy as it sounds, I am grateful for the not so great things people have said behind the scenes, because it is forcing me to practice that grace I spoke about last time, and has given me a lot of clarity on where people are at.

I respect the fact that not everyone agrees with our decision. Those who feel so strongly will never be convinced our cause is worth it. And while I won't waste your time to try to convince any of you, if you will indulge me, I will address a few of the least offensive messages I have received.

"Why in the HELL are you a$$holes doing this?" We are doing this because we believe that every single person working to put food on their table is essential. We are doing this because every single restaurant in this state should be allowed to be open and give their employees the opportunity to support their families. Picking and choosing who gets to earn an honest living is wrong. Businesses being forced to close is wrong. Everyone has the right to earn a living. Our employees matter, and they deserve us fighting on their behalf.

"You are greedy morons!" If you know anything about the food industry, you would know it is impossible to be greedy in this business. Anyone who can pay their food costs, their employees, and their taxes and then hopefully break even is considered a success. So, it is financially impossible for us to be greedy. However, you are right in calling us morons, because only a moron would go into the food business. If you've ever been in the food business, you know what I speak of.

"You are Effing racist morons!!!" (Effing is the edited for The Facebooks version) See above response to the moron comment. As for being racist, if you knew anything about the family dynamic you would know that is pretty impossible.

"YOU ARE TO BLAME FOR THE SPREAD OF THE VIRUS" Actually, if you read the Washington State hospitality stats on in-dining transmission, you would see how incredibly close to zero that number is. So low, in fact, it was shocking that restaurants would be forced to close their dining rooms again. Restaurants are not the problem.

Our blessings are beyond abundant, but we are not blind or deaf to our critics.

We just happen to believe that our fight for our employee's rights is worth it. We believe that every restaurant in this town, and in this state, has the right and deserves a fighting chance at survival. We will fight for as long as we can, because this cause is worth it.

Be well. Be blessed. And seriously, put your turkey in the fridge."
