I believe it just means that they have allowed the case to move forward in an expedited manner. Court cases do not normally get filed and resolved in the time we need this to be resolved, so having it be expedited means that it can make a difference.
Fellow pedes, please correct me if I am wrong, but I believe that this is a good thing all around for us.
We want it to be pushed through so that it can get to SCOTUS. If these cases were not heard on an expedited schedule they'd never get to SCOTUS in time to have any impact on the election. The lower court rulings really don't matter much because whatever the lower courts decide will be appealed by the other side. So they need to be adjudicated swiftly so we can get to the ultimate arbiters and see what they have to say.
I got downvoted in another thread for daring to ask a question. I'll try here and see if maybe I get an answer.
What is the significance of this? Is it at all possible that the rate this is being pushed through could be a negative for us?

For sure, it sounds like a good thing then.
No, this is a very good thing it will move to the SC
