Could be either, but the zombie cat is relevant here as the dynamic it demonstrates is a fluid variable that only assumes a definitive value when observed. The account is fluid when there is no spotlight and fake when it draws attention.

A Rorschach test is when people observe a totally unknowable thing, and project upon that thing ideas based upon their biases.

The OP is a binary unknowable: it’s either legit or fake. That’s a textbook Schrodinger’s Cat situation.
