My point is that the survey cited by the OP is asking what people THINK is illegal (public opinion) when people should be concerned about what actually IS illegal. There's no reason whatsoever for people to be guessing about it. This should already have been settled by both criminal and civil suits.

I appreciate your sentiment, but the Declaration of Independence isn't a legal document with respect to the current government of the United States. The US Constitution, and the various state constitutions are if only a sufficient quantity of people should care to remember that.
