It's not just Covid "new confusion" that makes me say this... I've never understood the phrase "build back better".

Is it supposed to be a cheap rip off of MAGA?

Or perhaps the three lower case b's are supposed to look like three 6's?

Seriously, I don't get it... It's like a bad Chinese translation of something.

This is what I've been saying for years and people think I'm nuts. I don't give a shit tho... Time has proven me right on so many things.

Either way, I'm ready. I'm decent with a 6.5creedmoor at 1k yards so I say bring it

I love every response but I mean grammatically it doesn't make sense 🤷🏻‍♂️

The origination of the term is from Bush/Clinton regarding FEMA and cleanups after natural disasters around the year 1999-2004. The global community started using Build Back Better for rebuilding after natural disasters in the proceeding years as well in India, Haiti, etc...

Notice how we have covid-19 "a natural disaster" and they're using Build Back Better? That's because that's the global accepted phrase for rebuilding after a natural disaster.

Why not just say "rebuild better" ?

Why the alliteration with the 3 b's? I keep coming back to the three 6's...

If you study the origination of the phrase, which I did... I spent hours looking into it. It did revolve literally from rebuild better. Lots of FEMA/GOV/Academics/UN/Clinton Foundation statements/releases/etc... It started off as just casual mentions of needing to rebuild better. Then it turned to Building Better because everyone likes alliteration I suppose... The phrase rebuild back the x or y comes up a lot. Then one day someone comes up with Building back better and this gets shorted to Build Back Better! Then BBB takes off as the commonly accepted phrase.

It did literally evolve from rebuild better though.

Well thank you for that research and I'm sorry you can't get those hours of your life back.
