I have only known 2 people to contract the kung flu.

One was isolated overseas a few months ago, and I’m headed to his house for Thanksgiving with his elderly parents. There will be no masks.

The other attended his father’s funeral last week. He is recovering just fine. 18 of his family members caught it, including his elderly mother. Of the 18, one has been hospitalised. No deaths. That’s about a 5% hospitalisation rate in a small sample.

The family member has received several plasma treatments.

If you count people I know personally PLUS people who personally know people who I know personally, I'm up to like 40 now, I think.

If you JUST count people I know personally, I think it's like 15-ish.

Everyone I know personally is fine. The second-degree people are mostly fine; but not everyone. There are like five severe ones and two of those were deaths. They were both very old and already in bad shape (nursing homes).

The way I test to see if I have the China Flu is I just call my friend Bob and ask him if he knows anyone who caught the Shanghai Shivers and when he says no, I know I’m cool.

RIP Mitch.
