We wore masks on my flights last week, but they had a fine mesh on the outside and I cut the inner layer out. They looked solid but most definitely were not. In the airport, we wore them going through security but left them down the rest of the time... As long as we had a bottle of water we could just say we were taking a drink.
I wore one last week in the hospital while my daughter had surgery, I probably could have gotten away with not wearing it but I didn't want to add stress to an already stressful day.
Other than that, I won't wear one. They can hand me one and I'll add it to the collection of never worn masks in my car. My husband wears one when he's in his work uniform but won't wear one otherwise. I let my kids choose most of the time... If they don't want to wear it, I won't allow anyone to force it.

I went in at noon. I was out by 12:20. Normally there's a two to three hour wait to be seen at a walk-in.
They had one doctor working. If four people showed up at once, then that doctor would have been understaffed and overburdened... But they've not needed more than one doctor.
I saw a news article the other day, noting "alarming increase in hospitalization!" that when I scrolled down to actually read the acticle, said that the hospital furloughed, closed down, or otherwise shut off 80% of its capacity because of lack of use, and there was concern because the hospital was rapidly approaching (not "at", "approaching", 70% of their current capacity limit. Or in other words that the news DIDN'T bother directly saying, the news was going "SHIT WE GON DIE YALL" over a hospital hitting 14% capacity use.

We wore masks on my flights last week, but they had a fine mesh on the outside and I cut the inner layer out. They looked solid but most definitely were not. In the airport, we wore them going through security but left them down the rest of the time... As long as we had a bottle of water we could just say we were taking a drink.
I wore one last week in the hospital while my daughter had surgery, I probably could have gotten away with not wearing it but I didn't want to add stress to an already stressful day.
Other than that, I won't wear one. They can hand me one and I'll add it to the collection of never worn masks in my car. My husband wears one when he's in his work uniform but won't wear one otherwise. I let my kids choose most of the time... If they don't want to wear it, I won't allow anyone to force it.

I went in at noon. I was out by 12:20. Normally there's a two to three hour wait to be seen at a walk-in.
They had one doctor working. If four people showed up at once, then that doctor would have been understaffed and overburdened... But they've not needed more than one doctor.
I saw a news article the other day, noting "alarming increase in hospitalization!" that when I scrolled down to actually read the acticle, said that the hospital furloughed, closed down, or otherwise shut off 80% of its capacity because of lack of use, and there was concern because the hospital was rapidly approaching (not "at", "approaching", 70% of their current capacity limit. Or in other words that the news DIDN'T bother directly saying, the news was going "SHIT WE GON DIE YALL" over a hospital hitting 14% capacity use.
