A virus has exponential growth. If they hard-lockdowned the super-at-risk, and let the 99.997% out and about, it would take far less than the 9 months it's been in order to gain herd immunity, if it is indeed as virulent as people suggest. And if it isn't all that virulent, then... There's no concern.
