Your post sparked a new thought in my conspiracy hungry brain (thanks to 2020!). Are the lockdowns being used as a tool to promote infighting and class warfare? Some people are greatly impacted as you’ve pointed out. Other people are working remotely with little impact. Are Dems trying to artificially create anger between the two groups?
Remote office workers are probably more likely to acquiesce to lockdowns as they are financially secure and cozy at home. They can order what they want from the big boxers. They don't develop the same anger at losing their jobs because they haven't. Same with retirees and those on welfare.
