will ever put a gun to your head and force you to believe. I’m shocked by how angry and hateful atheists get at their fellow pedes who bring up prayer or faith. You are acting exactly like liberals, going in to a post just to hate-reply. It’s sad. All we are doing is praying snd encouraging others to pray. If you don’t want to, that’s fine. There’s no need to harass those who want to. We are all on the same team here.

Where i used to work, a group of people got together by the flagpole every day at lunch. They didn’t demand anyone join them. They didn’t force the company to make prayer mandatory. They just got together and prayed, and everyone else moved on about their day.

There’s no need for the infighting. God bless

However, there are some rare ones like Jordan Peterson and Stefan Molyneux that are atheist but support Christians.

Not sure if you mean it this way or not, but I see a ton of confusion around these two terms so I’ll clarify just in case, if I interpreted your post wrong then maybe this will help random browsers.

Gnostic/Agnostic

Theist/Atheist

Are two entirely different sets of labels that talk about two entirely different sets of ideas.

Gnostic: Claim about knowledge - “I believe that x can be proven to be true”.

Agnostic: Claim about knowledge - “I believe that x cannot be proven true or false”

Theist: Claim about belief in God(s) - “I believe in God(s)”

Atheist: Claim about belief in god(s) - “I do not believe in god(s)”

You can mix and match from the two sets.

Gnostic Theist: I believe in God and I believe God can be proven to be real.

Agnostic Theist: I believe in God and I believe God’s existence is something cannot be proven one way or another.

Etc Etc.

MAGA on!

Agnostic is not atheist for starters. But he also has an entire series about the Bible and consistently argues in favor of religion, specifically when he debates in favor of religion against atheists like Sam Harris. He doesn’t like the question “Do you believe in God” and has an interesting talk about it, but he seems to follow the teachings of Christ closely and argues like a Christian. None of this suggests to me that he’s atheist, and likely not agnostic either.

Listen to his latest video after his illness. He references God’s grace and mercy. I think he felt a higher power when undergoing all he’s been through the last year plus. It was really uplifting to hear.

And yet he has been the same wonderful guy the whole time. We are here to learn and evolve. My faith has helped me beyond measure, but I was not a horrible person before, just in a different part of my learning. I think not having always had faith helps me understand other views and not think less of people who look at the world differently, but at the same time I am also happy when people are aided by an increase in faith.

After all of his analysis of the Bible and promoting Christian values, he seems to see Christianity as just a beneficial mythology through the lens of evolutionary biology. Deep down he is an atheist that is seeking Christianity but is currently bound in the material plane.

He’s often explains God in a way such that he doesn’t leave secular folks behind, but I highly doubt he’d ever describe himself as atheist. In fact he often seems to lean towards that of a spiritually minded person. As noted above too, he seems to have a very spiritual reaction to his recent illness.

I am one of those types myself.
